The Opportunity
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at MIC, you:
- work with our Radiologists each day, reviewing cases, collaborating, and learning.
- are part of a team that supports and cultivates camaraderie by sharing ideas, discussing cases, and supporting workload
- will get additional training opportunities in ultrasound specialities such as vascular, MSK, nuchals, breast imaging, and assisting with biopsies
- work with up-to-date equipment supporting Sonographer’s health and ergonomics
- are part of an organization that prioritizes education, learning, and leadership development
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in obstetrics, abdomen, pelvis, small parts, echo, vascular, breast
- Provide exceptional patient care
- Ensure patient information and relevant history is accurate and complete
- Complete worksheets accurately to share with the Radiologist
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and time management skills
- Critical thinking, ask questions and are solution oriented
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all patients and employees
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment
- Work well within a team and individually
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Graduate from an accredited Sonography Program
- Active credentialed member of Sonography Canada
- New Graduates welcome
